Hilton Head’s first (and only) Freeman charter boat, “A Live One” is available for inshore, nearshore and offshore fishing charters year-round. This is Capt. Blair’s third decade guiding in Hilton Head.

Tackle & Gear
Fish with high end gear including reels by SEiGLER, Shimano, custom rods by Connley Fishing and Crafty One Customs, Yo-Zuri fluorocarbon leader, and lures from Live Wire Tackle, Blue Water Candy, & Z-Man.
Favorite Targets
Bull Reds:
— Monster red drum peak in Sept & Oct but can be found year round in Hilton Head’s coastal waters.
Sharks:
— Warmer waters (Apr-Sept) bring consistent action inshore for Sharks (and other species) in Hilton Head’s tidal creeks, rivers, and sounds. Larger sharks can be caught and released year-round in nearshore/offshore waters.
Wahoo!
— Cooler months are great times to make the 60-80 mile run to the Gulf Stream where Wahoo can be targeted specifically while ‘High Speed Trolling’ or slow troll for Wahoo along with Dolphin (Mahi Mahi) and Black Fin Tuna. Winter/Spring/Fall are best for Gulf Stream runs.
Cobia:
— Fish the Spring Cobia run (late March thru June) on a 4 to 8 hour trip nearshore/offshore.
Wrecks & Reefs:
— Lots of structure is available in the 3-30 mile range for targeting a variety of species that can be accessed within a half day to full day trip.
